Jun Lozada Soul-Scorching Quote

During the February18,2008 Philippine Senate hearing on the corruption-drenched ZTE National Broadband Network (NBN) deal, Jun Lozada was egged by the senators to say every piece of truth he knows of his personal knowledge.

Trembling and on the verge of tears, Lozada quoted former Socio-Economic Planning Secretary, Romulo Neri as having said: "GLORIA IS AN EVIL PERSON."

Neri, according to Lozada uttered this ominous quote during one intimate session with a small group composed of Lozada, Lito Banayo, Senators Panfilo Lacson & Jamby Madrigal and their staff. According to Lozada, Sec Neri was then in his element illustrating the ecosystem of corruption in government with Pres. GMA at the center of its web.

Great. We all know that's she's evil. It's plastered on 10,000 blogs now. The Injustice Secretary can't sue em all!

Question is... what do we now do about it?

Merck, collective excorcism is called for. The Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines exhorts all the faithful to resort to creative, imaginative and democratic responses to the socio/political/moral crisis gripping the country. Further, we are admonished to pray together, reflect together, decide together and act together.

This involves a process and may take a while but it is ongoing. The people is awakened already and has been jolted by the reign of evil graphically unfolding before our eyes. The peoples' awakening is a good start.

We don't need exorcism. We need the iron maiden for the little maiden.

Hi Tita Grace,

It looks like PGMA will be able to survive this political crisis, just as she did when the Hello Garci scandal came out. If this happens, then I hope she can use the remaining two years of her term to leave Malacanang with pride and honor. The question now is whether or not the people will be able to trust her again. Will she have enough room to manuever and implement her programs?

As you said, the people's awakening is a good start. I hope it inspires our government to have its own awakening as well?

Thank you for your insightful question, Lester. Can the people ever trust GMA ever again? Yes, as long as GMA takes a drastic paradigm shift; a 360degree turn which is nothing short of instant conversion.

Ours is almost a hopeless situation and in moments like this, the people will cling unto any level of hope. We are a peace-loving people. We prefer to see in our President serious change for the better, support her and walk with her along the road to salvation. That is an option that we are willing to accord to her.
There is always enough time for a change for the better. Rebuilding a nation is like a search for Utopia. It is a never-ending process. What's important is that we start. We can very well start within the remaining two years.

However, it will take a conversion of heart, a miracle of God's Grace similar to what happened to ... is it St. Augustine? the former persecutor of believers?

Otherwise, we the people should be ready to forge the miracles that we want to happen.

It would require stepping up with our collective action under the rule of human laws and Divine direction,to be able save ourselves and our country from the "evil" ways of this administration.
